HOME is a dining concept from chefs Mark Owens and Elizabeth Cottam. The team believes that there’s more to dining out than just great food. HOME offers a genuine warm welcome in a relaxed environment where diners arrive as customers and leave as friends.
What the whole team at HOME love doing most is making people happy. Our aim is to create wonderful dining experiences that our guests will remember fondly forever. This is one of the things that sits right at the heart of what we do. The other is the food our guests eat whilst they are visiting us. We are very proud to be inspired by and serve the best British produce.
Each of our dishes starts off with superb ingredients, selected because it’s their season to shine. We change the menu monthly.
It’s an unlikely pairing, a former Head Chef of a Michelin star restaurant and a MasterChef contestant. However a shared passion for the same style of food and the desire to create a hugely relaxed and welcoming dining concept has brought the pair together to deliver HOME.
Their aim is to build a team of like-minded people who love what they do and focus on the things that matter, namely the diners and how much they enjoy spending time in their dining room. Mark and Elizabeth’s focus is to create a dining experience that stands out for all the right reasons and celebrates truly British produce.
Mark began his professional career in the 2 Michelin star Le Gavroche. He went on to work at the one star restaurant The Star at Harome as sous chef and most recently ran the kitchen as Head Chef at The Box Tree where his team retained the star for yet another year in 2017.
After her appearance on MasterChef (2016), Elizabeth completed a successful residency at The New Ellington Hotel in Leeds. The three month long restaurant take over allowed her to serve hundreds of diners with some truly outstanding modern British cuisine. Her cooking gained a lot of praise from her diners and generated a long list of 5 star reviews.
