Aire Park Community Garden

The Aire Park Community Garden, located within the eight-acre Aire Park development in Leeds, is a half-acre space dedicated to reconnecting individuals with nature, creating a beautiful outdoor environment for residents and visitors to spend time in whilst addressing social isolation. The garden aims to bring together people from various cultures and generations, fostering an environment that promotes understanding and confidence among community members. It seeks to bridge divides between different ethnic, political, and socio-economic groups. The community garden serves as a gathering place for residents to engage in gardening and related activities.

To enhance accessibility, Vastint provides transport for groups from surrounding neighbourhoods, allowing more individuals to participate and benefit from the garden. This initiative complements the community centre planned for Aire Park, which will offer free programs in art, language, exercise, and social meet-ups for local residents. Through these efforts, the Aire Park Community Garden aims to contribute to the overall well-being of the community and support meaningful connections among its members.
